Welcome to the Riverside Region of the Porsche Club of America. Our club represents the Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial counties of Southern California extending into the high desert north towards Las Vegas and south throughout the southern deserts and Palm Springs. We have one of the largest geographical areas of the 13 PCA regions in the PCA Zone 8 area of Southern California and represent approximately 650 members.

Every month we have a permanently scheduled breakfast event on the 1st Saturday of the month in a central location within the region. Our activity calendar also usually fills up the remainder of the month with tours, autocrosses, tech sessions, and after breakfast events.

Please refer often to this website and calendar for event information and updates, maps to events, and contact info.

We can also help you with information about your car regarding service and club discounts available at the Porsche dealers, auto insurance companies, and independent service and parts vendors.

We hope to see you at one of our numerous events soon. Even if you are not yet a member of PCA, come on by and “kick some tires” and join the fun!

The new year will bring many more changes and improvements to the club and will kick off with the annual planning meeting combined with the first Saturday breakfast at the East Valley Golf Club in Beaumont on January 2nd.

We also hope to implement an improved monthly E newsletter and some editorial from other members including the monthly membership broadcast starting with this month's summery written by V.P. Paul White.

Thank you for your support and have a happy New Year,

Riverside Members,

Hopefully Santa was good to all of you and this message finds you well, relaxed and looking forward to a great new year mingling with all you Porsche friends. This reminder is to refresh your memory that the Riverside region will hold its monthly breakfast meeting at our usual location, the East Valley Golf Club in Beaumont. Tire kicking begins in earnest at 8:00 am with breakfast at 9.

Immediately following breakfast, we will hold our annual planning meeting. This is a group involvement and presentation event and your Board urges you to bring your ideas for events for the Club’s 2010 calendar. We want to hear from you as to your widely varied interests. So step up and put together an exciting event such as a tour, a rally, an autocross, or other driving event. Not all events need to directly relate to the exciting cars we drive. I will be outlining several upcoming track related events to try to get your ‘motors’ running in that arena.

Following the planning session, everyone is encouraged to caravan to the desert's newest Porsche repair shop, Desert Motorsports in Palm Desert, where we will be shown Jim Corbiel and Steve Floyd's new facility. I have already been there and can attest that it is a top notch location. Please plan on attending and cap off this first full day of Porsche activities.

See you there!

Paul
