PCA Riverside Region members

Some very exciting things have been happening recently

First, I need to know if any of the Riverside PCA members own a silver 356 convertible. I have been contacted by a photo locations company in need of a car to place in a photo shoot for an Italian clothing company in the Palm Springs area. They are willing to pay $500 to $1500 per day for the vehicle to be placed in their photos for a three day shoot. The vehicle can be delivered by the owner or they will pick it up with a transporter. They will supply full insurance for the photo shoot. They are primarily interested in a “silver” convertible, but could be persuaded to use a different color. Please contact me if you are interested.

Another very exciting opportunity for the Riverside Region is the successful charity bid by member Steve Klein to allow our club to travel to the Jay Leno garage in Burbank and view his car collection. Steve has requested that I get a head count from the members so he can negotiate the tour size, price and date with the organizers. If you are interested in viewing Jay Leno’s car collection please contact Steve Klein with an email response to: environnet@aol.com

Thirdly, I know that many of you are attending the PCA Escape in New Mexico. If you are interested in traveling to the “Escape” with the rest of your RSR buddies please let me know at jdlamonica@gmail.com and supply me with your travel plans and a cell phone contact number. We are planning on meeting in Flagstaff, Az. on the 17th of September and continuing on to Albuquerque the following morning to the event hotel.

Fourthly, the “Haunted Porsche Tour” scheduled for October 19-21 is nearly full. There are still a few rooms available. If you have been procrastinating on making your reservation, and want to spend some time in a haunted hotel, time is running out. Please view the Riverside calendar at www.riversidepca.org for all the info.

And Finally…… It’s fast approaching our annual board elections for next year. I know that there are many talented people in this club with a lot of great ideas. Please let me put your name on the ballot and volunteer to help keep the RSR a great car club. You can start by attending the upcoming board of directors meeting scheduled for September 23. The meetings are centralized in the region at Marla’s Mexican Restaurant, 1310 E. 6th St. Beaumont, Ca. Dinner at 6:15 meeting at 7:00pm.

See you there!
